The cute caterpillar resting on an acacia branch is one of our favourite duos. The tender colour palette adds a fresh breeze of air to your dining table.
Our beautiful Zig Zag Acacia and caterpillar are illustrated by talented Australian artist Rachel Gyan.
Ideal for: decorating your dining room, impressing guests, or presenting as a thoughtful gift for special occasions.
We donate 50 cents to an Australian conservation organisation for every Zig Zag Acacia salad plate sold.

Description
Material
Crafted from high-quality porcelain clay, fired with a semi-matte glaze, and finished with high-quality ceramic transfers.
Craftsmanship process
Our plates undergo a meticulous two-stage firing process. First, we use press moulding to shape the clay body and apply a softly speckled eggshell glaze in a semi-matte finish. The plates are dipped in glaze and then sprayed again before the final firing. Artisans hand-transfer screen-printed illustrations to the centre of each plate, finishing with a Poppy & Pepper brand stamp on the bottom.
Design
Our salad plate is inspired from a teacup & saucer made in the 1930s, with a short inward-tilting edge, and stood on an elevated foot. The centre of the plate is adorned with a small group illustration of an acacia flower and caterpillar.
Versatility
Perfect for serving a side dish or a light meal, tacos, pie, slider, bruschetta, and more. It pairs perfectly with our Gum Blossom dinner plate.
Options
Another two sizes are available: Pin Cushion dinner plate and Flannel Flowers dessert plate
Note: We photographed our cherished ceramic pieces under studio lighting, but the warmth of the glaze may look slightly different in various lighting conditions. The flow of the glaze can cause speckles to cluster unevenly, leading to variations in their distribution across different pieces. Differences in glaze flow due to hand-dipping and spraying, along with slight variations in the placement of patterns and illustrations, underscore the unique, handcrafted nature of Poppy & Pepper ceramics and are part of their charm

Care
Dishwasher, microwave and oven safe with care.
Ideally wares should not touch each other in dishwasher to prevent scratches on glaze.
Sudden temperature change, such as from oven to cold bench, or from freezer to oven, may cause thermal shock and damage your wares. Always place cold dish onto the wire rack in oven and place hot dish on cloth or wooden surface.
Due to the nature of the semi-matte glaze, prolonged contact with harsh metal utensils may leave consistent marks on the surface of the glaze. We recommend using wooden or high-quality metal utensils.
